Terms of Service
Last updated: 4 November 2026
These terms govern your use of CrawlXray, a software service operated by Thirteen Bytes ("we", "us"). CrawlXray is a Thirteen Bytes product. By using the website or buying any plan you agree to these terms.
1. The service
CrawlXray is software that scans WordPress websites for malware, vulnerabilities, hidden content and leftover data. It offers free outside scans, free deep scans over a server connection you provide, and paid features: Developer Reports, cleanup, ongoing monitoring (Watch) and agency plans, as described on the pricing page.
2. Your account and permission to scan
- You must give accurate account details and keep your login secure.
- You may only scan websites and servers you own, or that you have written permission from the owner to scan. You are responsible for that permission.
- Deep scans are read-only. Cleanup changes are only made after you approve them.
3. Payments
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Prices are shown on the pricing page. Subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled. You can cancel at any time, and the plan stays active until the end of the paid period.
4. Refunds
You can request a full refund of any purchase within 30 days. See the refund policy.
5. Acceptable use
You must not use CrawlXray to scan systems without permission, to attack or disrupt any website or server, to resell the service without an agency plan, or to break any law.
6. What we don't promise
Scans find many kinds of malware and weaknesses, but no tool can guarantee that a website is completely secure or will stay clean. Reports describe what was found at the time of the scan. You remain responsible for your website, backups, passwords and payment keys.
7. Liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost revenue or data.
8. Ending the service
You can stop using CrawlXray and delete your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.
9. Changes
We may update these terms. We will post the new version here and, for material changes, email account holders before they take effect.
